Hot Summer = water adventures..

The spring quickly slipped away… a job was found, and regular adult life had to carry on. She still forced me to get out into the outdoors more than I would have normally, which I’m grateful for, and continue to be.   But things had to find a new pace.

With a hot summer, there were many “water adventures.” She grew up swimming in rivers, and I do believe that part of the reason she is such a strong swimmer today is due to that.  She loves it.. so long as water isn’t for a bath, she loves it. And to be honest there were times where I think she just simply loved to swim. I was able to wade out into the river, until it was deep enough that she was forced to swim. I would fish from the middle of the river.. and she would swim next to me in the current and swim off for the random bugs , leaves, stick, or anything that caught her eye… this included my fish when i caught them, and my line where it dipped into the water.. once resulting in snapping my line, but otherwise it worked out well. A half hour of that when she was about 6 months old would have her nice and mellow for the day.

To this day I struggle to keep her out of the water/rivers when it’s the dead of winter even. She can’t hardly stop herself from going in after a leaf, or going in to check for water bugs. So long as there isn’t ice, I usually just let her. I figure it’ll only burn off more energy.

Anyway, I shall stop typing, and get to some pics..

Wading over to mom..

I'm telling you, she loves water.. and rocks thrown into it.. she caught on quick to the fact that she couldn't get them though..

I have  many more water photos.. but I shall post some another time. For now it’s time for bed.. Stay tuned.. as always, more the come.
