2 snapshots…

Wow, it’s been a while (well in comparison to some things).. here are two snapshots, and a quick update for all you (zero) Luna fanatics out there.

Love the expressions in this one.. She has such the look of  “I’m gonna mess you up”.. crazy girl. the next one isn’t much better haha..

Anyhow, Luna is doing well overall. She did something to her foot last monday and still is not back to normal. I’m borderline about to take her to the vet, but I am not convinced that at this point it isn’t all mental. She is VERY good on 3 feet (I blame that on last august’s major cut foot-month long bandage saga) so it’s just as easy for her not to use it.  The only “hurt” area I can find is between two toes, it was kinda inflamed and puffy. But I found no thorns or stingers and I caught it right after it happened.  She runs through thorns, rocks, sticks all the time so I have no idea what happened. It is hard to tell what’s normal too, due to those toes being a little different from the injury last summer and how it all healed.  She acts normal, eats, drinks, sleeps, has crazy fits.. So I doubt  it’s an infection, I hate going to the vet for things I can fix myself. *sigh*

Moving on, she is doing well in her training. On a whim last week I took her off the force fetch table after our session and had her fetch the dowel from my hand and carry it at “heel” around the yard and “whoa” to give it to hand. She did really well. And friday I had her fetching it off the ground and delivering it to hand. I think she is pretty much done. Now I need to be VERY careful about how I play games with her involving throwing things for her. I don’t want to ruin or create bad habits now.  So I’m kind of not throwing things for her as much, and if I do I’m pretty much making her deliver to hand.  She fetched and held the big swiss army knife I found last night.  It will be interesting to see where I can take her with her retrieving random objects for me.

Ok, back to work.. I am attempting to pack all my/our stuff this week and move come the weekend. It’s a task and a half times a billion it seems.. So off I go.
