Lock down

Luna is on lock down.. She came into season Saturday.   Yesterday Dover was showing a little too much interest in her, so she no longer gets to play with her intact males. I REALLY don’t need any Vizsla/GSP puppies..
Last night she spent her first night in the kennel as well, and upon going outside to photograph some heat lightening I could hear her singing/barking with a couple others.  By the end of her kennel stay she will probably be able to howl as well as the malmute… Hopefully she will behave herself while I’m gone though.
My biggest concern is that she continue to eat.  Though she will be in heat during the July 4th weekend, I plan to try and show her still, depending on how she is looking.  I worked hard to get some weight back on her so I would hate to see it disappear during this cycle.  I’m hoping the sweet potato treats and meatloaf will keep her interested.

She did get to visit with her half sister Jackie this past weekend to show her the ropes about swimming.  It had been quite a while since she last saw her, and they didn’t miss eachother too much as they just ran around the turf farm sniffing all on their own.

I rather love this shot.. She looks like she is in great shape.  ‘Bout darn time.  This leap was in response to wanting to go get a chukar.  She had a fun time at the ponds with her half sis.. glad she got out before more serious lock down.

We’re headed to Lake Anna tonight through the weekend, sadly Luna shall stay here. Can’t wait to get away! Soooo needed.

About Anna

I am a native of Virginia but recently relocated to Maryland I often feel I am simply a visitor... here to take note of little things people often pass by... I enjoy photography, family, the outdoors, reading, my vizsla... etc etc
