Well it seems it was another rather political weekend for Luna, at the shows. She didn’t really place at all in her classes Saturday and Sunday. Long story short, Sunday she should have won her class, but the judge gave it to a pro handler with an ugly dog (in my opinion, light colored, big, sloppy looking). BUT overall I am very happy with Luna’s performance. All three days she did fantastic, moved well, handled/stacked well, and was pretty darn happy. So for her being in heat, and having been kept in a kennel for 2 weeks, and not eating much, she did fantastic. You probably wouldn’t even know she was in heat that weekend as she didn’t look or act it.
Yesterday she got to see her buddy Finn ( a fellow vizsla, about 2 days younger than her) and boy were they happy to see eachother. When we were pulling up to the park that we usually meet them at she started whining, and as we continued into the park to the parking lot she started scream whining. Since it was so hot we decided to just let them hang out by the pond. Overall they didn’t spend much time on grass. they chased sticks, rocks, bugs, and tennis balls for about an hour. I finally got some pics of him too so once I get a chance to sit down later today I will tackle those.
For now it’s time to get to work, and embrace this heat (only going to be 91 today!! yay!). Hopefully I can continue my trend and finish everything by noon.
