Vizsla Fish

We made it to the river today.. With more vizslas than I was expecting. Originally it was just going to be Luna and her uncle (Weird cuz he’s younger than her) Jack.  She was going to get him swimming more.  But it ended up being Luna, Jack,  Sammy (Luna’s half brother, same mom) and Jackie (Luna’s half brother, sammy’s brother). As well as a Weim named Bailey who is Jack’s canine sister.  Everyone had fun, Jack and Bailey stayed to wade with Luna and I.

Jackie and Sammy swimming after a bumper..  Jackie finally learned how to level out and not high kick while swimming.

Luna is such a fish.. She loves to swim around chasing leaves, bugs, and algae.  She has gotten very good at swimming effortlessly.. I guess it helps when she basically grew up learning how to swim in rivers.  This is probably why she is such a good teacher/example for those that aren’t as keen on the water.  She will find rock, climb up for a break, and then climb down to swim in the deep current right behind it.

I just thought this photo was pretty funny.  Her uncle jack has not spent a whole lot of time actually swimming, but he ended up getting pretty good by the end of today.  We even got his sister Bailey in the water.. and she actually swam! first time in a couple years I think.  Great to see, I’m glad they all had so much fun chasing sticks, rocks, water splashes and just plain romping. It was a good day. Check my smugmug soon to see more photos of Vizslas and recent happenings.  For now it’s time for bed, apparently Luna thinks so too as she’s been sprawled across my lap for about 20 minutes now, rather uncomfortable.

G’night
