Darn heat is back again..

Well, we’re back to it being too hot to do much of anything, yet again.  I think we hit 1oo degrees again yesterday, I’m WAY over this heat, everyone around the farm is.  Only the stink bugs seem to relish it (don’t get me started about them).

So us basement dwellers have been doing a lot of the same.. Laying around..

checking facebook and e-mails.. Well some of us anyway.  Really though, Luna has been good considering how little she’s done this summer.  I am SO thankful to be able to take these two on a short walk in the evenings around the bird field.

It’s just enough of a walk to tire the lab out a bit, and Luna becomes more tolerable too.  As you can see they are officially buddies.  We still make a point to only let them play together a couple times a day, so that he bonds to us. Not that she’s is all over him, or he her when they are out.

These walks involve….

Occasional poses by Luna

Lots of running…

Crazy ear action and disappointingly out of focus shots..

With occasional critters IN focus..

A Vizsla with a tongue too big for her mouth (P.S. I LOVE how the folliage/light frames her here)

Who has a nose that never sleeps….

And a brother who sometimes likes to steal the spotlight…

And that ladies and gentlemen is your daily Vizsla News…

Amazing to read of your heat over there – we’ve just had our first autumn frosts over here! That shot of Luna with tongue-a-lolling, framed, as she is, so perfectly by the light and the undergrowth is absolutely stunning!

Yeah the heat just won’t go away. We had near record breaking days yet again. Our area (northern virginia/D.C.) has had the hottest summer of the whole USA this year.. Everyone is tired of it, from the humans to the horses and dogs. We are all ready for fall so we can get some bird work going.
Glad you liked the pic, she does make it easy on occasion, when she bothers to stop moving.

  2. Oh, the faces on your pups!
