Luna is a star!

So we had success at the Waterford Fair this past weekend. And I say we because Luna was part of the equation… and often is my muse.  We took 2nd place in the Nature Studies/Animals category.  This is probably the most entered category, so it was quite exciting.

"Winter Contemplations"

This is one of my favorite shots ever, and definitely one of my favorites of Luna.  Now I need to find a place on our walls (shouldn’t be hard as nothing is on our walls thus far).  Luna is a lucky girl today, I made a new treat recipe, with bananas, carrots, and PB in it.. she isn’t picky when it comes to treats.  Not the best timing as it has been tricky to keep her weight right for the show coming up, but hopefully they will keep.  If I’m in the mood to bake something I can’t be stopped.. Take for example right now.. It’s been rainy and in the 50’s today (total opposite of 10 days ago with out darn record breaking heat) and I have a double batch of pizza dough rising on the oven.  And it’s about ready to be considered out of control.  Most wouldn’t bother on a cold day, but I look forward to the colder weather just so I can bake as much as I want to and not deal with it heating up our little place.

Here is Luna with the treats I made last week. Cranberry, oatmeal something…  Like I said, she’s not picky.

I like this way of displaying the dog treats I have made. She is very good at this “trick”.  Now what to do with all these treats when I can’t give her many due to keeping her slimmer.. and the puppy not getting the runs.. Hmmmmm
