Exercise, frost, and upcoming dog show

Luna the Beast

Lune looking rather beastly… which is not a bad thing as she usually looks so petite.

Jack A.K.A. “Glee”

Luna’s Uncle jack.. getting some exercise in the bird field.   Would you say he’s happy?

Not a lot going on here these days, though it never really seems like that.  Days are flying by, I can’t believe it’s almost November.  We FINALLY had our first frost  Saturday morning (or I guess friday night).  I think that’s one of the latest first frosts we’ve had since I can remember.   It’s about darn time is all you’ll here around here. Then today it got in the high 70’s, go figure.  I wish the weather would just make up it’s mind.  We have quite a few dogs to train for hunting of various kinds.  Everything from our own lab pups to, a previous litter, and then some pointing dogs from last season to hopefully finish up.  So things are pretty busy around here, but when is it not.  Quite a few of our homing pigeons are coming back as well, have only lost a couple.  Hopefully the trend continues as we finish up the last of the 40 or so we have.  I think the fact that I’m giving them names helps.  I hope to really incorporate some of the pigeons into the walks I take with Luna in the field.

Luna has a dog show Saturday and Sunday, it’s a Vizsla specialty so there is going to be a lot of competition. I hope the judges think she’s grown up too.  Either way I just hope she handles well, and that I can get there at least one day to take some pictures…. AND that the weather is nice for one weekend.

Alright, that’s all I have to report for now.  Hope you had a great weekend.
