Luna takes 3rd in York, PA

We are still showing Luna on occasion and hope to finish her show CH this year.  Our last show was March 20th up near York, PA.  The trip up there was quite stressful as I neglected to check directions and travel time before I needed to get out the door. I thought I had a rough estimate in my head but it turned out to be nearly an hour further.  Even though  I thought we were going to miss our class I still went up to support our handler as well as hit up a favorite vendor White Dog Bone.  So onward we went as I tried not to panic and mentally kicked myself for not taking the time to check directions sooner (yes I am a horrible procrastinator and had no excuse as it was a late ring time).

In any case we managed to get there in the nick of time, and were blessed with a very understanding judge who let us enter the ring.  Though Luna basically went straight from the car straight into the ring she still did awesome.  She managed to take 3rd place out of a large entry. So in the end I was relieved and it was a nice little surprise, and now we have a yellow ribbon to add to the collection. It’s going to be an interesting quilt if I ever make it.. Thanks to the judge and our handler Pat for being so cool about it all.

I had hoped to get some nice shots with my “new” camera but barely had time to snap a couple of Luna, so bear with me with the quality. And after the stress of our ride up there I didn’t really care to stick around much after the breed. I went and hit up our vendor and hit the road home.

We have another show coming up easter weekend.  We will be out of town on a fishing trip for our anniversary but hopefully all will go well with the whelping of Luna’s sister and laurie can take her to the shows. Check out Laurie’s site to hear more about what Luna’s siblings and various relations are up to in the ring, field, and home.

Not a huge update, my poor ring finger is having to pick up a lot of slack so I hope to rest it a bit this weekend. I hope to also get the neglected (ha) 4-leggers out this weekend too.

Have a great weekend

Thanks, she does a good job and that handler seems to enjoy showing her. Sadly the handler will be busy till end of June so we will have to make due without her. But hopefully she will put on a good show the 23rd too. Thanks for the encouragement
