Well when we went away this weekend to go Striper fishing… I made a deal with Luna… We come home with big fish and she come home with big ribbons at her show.
Well this weekend she held up her end of the deal.
Sunday she won her class, then went Winners Bitch, and Best of Opposite. Highest wins to date. We are inching closer and closer to her CH. Thank you to Laurie for showing her this weekend while we were out of town. And thank you to the judges for selecting our girl, and thanks to our “family” who are rooting for us.
And we held up our end of the deal too
We ended up catching 14 trophy striper on sunday, and had beautiful weather. Luna reaped the reward of our finds too as I dried some of the fish scraps for her and Wyatt… BAD idea, our little apartment STILL smells like fish. And if you know me, I am NOT a fan of seafood (case in point my sweet husband had our waiter remove a plate with crab dip from our table as I could hardly stand the smell). I learned my lesson, the pups better savor this fish jerky because it will not be made in my house again. I will add that to the list along with the liver, of things NOT cooked in our kitchen.
In other news… Luna’s sister Martha (formerly known as Katie) had her puppies last week. All are doing very well after a difficult delivery, can’t wait to hear more about them as they grow up. Can’t say Luna is too jealous as she has not really been around enough puppies for me to tell if she much cares for them. She may get her chance this year though as the resident Vizsla here (easy) will hopefully be due in June. And a GSP Aspen will hopefully get bred soon as well. One day maybe Luna will have her chance, but no need worrying about that now.
Hope everyone is having a good week, some crazy stormy weather around here tonight. Time to log off and hunker down.

Thanks, oh yes they loved the treats, rather than take a red meat portio out for her last night I just let her grab them herself as she was crated. I did not want to smell fish on my hands when i went to bed lol. So she got a bit of a bonus serving.
