Dog Show: Bel Alton, MD; Photo

Well here it is! Luna’s show photo from her big win. Thank you again to all involved, we’re so close now!  Just a couple more points.

And in other short news it’s hot hot HOT here. Agility was cancelled tonight for fear of all of us melting, so I will have to think of something else for Luna to do.  She has been driving me insane lately, and I admit I should just suck it up and get outside with her… or not……..

Gorgeous photo! Congratulations, again! You must be so proud.

That’s too bad about agility being cancelled. We rely on that as well around these parts to keep our dog just the other side of insanity. But I am still very jealous of your heat and would trade in a second for all this haze and rain. Blech!

  3. Congrats! Getting my first puppy next week. Can’t wait! Welcome to MD by the way.

She is so gorgeous. I continue to be non-shocked by her wins 🙂
Have you ever made her a doggie popsicle to keep her entertained? I think BAD RAP did a video about it a while back, but here is the gist: take a tin can, a plastic cup, a large yogurt container, a bucket, whatever (the bigger the longer the fun). Smear the walls with wet food, peanut butter, or cheese whiz. Throw in a handful of kibble or some treats. Fill with water. If you want, toss in a surprise like a favorite toy or a stuffed kong. Dangle in the end of a length of chain, leaving at least one foot hanging out the side (bonus points if you can figure out a way to suspend the chain from the middle of the container). Freeze. Hang from the fence or wherever you have a spot outside, and let her go to town. It will keep her cool and busy for a while. A regular can size takes our Stevie about 20 minutes to get through, and a gallon bucket takes her more than an hour. It makes a mess, but it’s so fun!

  5. Way to go, Luna! Luna looks beautiful as always, but I have to admit she looks strikingly different in her show photos. I guess it’s similar to how my husband looks when he’s in his business suit compared to his weekend wardrobe. There’s work and then there’s also play!
