Wanna see a bit of Luna and Wyatt in action??? I finally bothered to throw some of the phone videos up on my YouTube : AKGInspiration

This video is nothing fancy, but it does sort of give you a hint of how hard Luna likes to play when she is in the mood. If you see her and a vizsla buddy play hard it really sounds like they are eating . Luna comes from a VERY vocal family so she learned to bark in the face to try and illicit play… can’t really blame her for that, and sometimes it actually works. Sadly Wyatt usually ignores her (downside of getting a rather laid back lab… but guess we couldn’t have gotten a better dog for the Mr.) and thus she has to take matters into her own hands…

This is a bit of what we call “wild hares” or “Zoomies.” Vizslas are known for these antics, even 4 year old ones like Luna. It never fails to bring a smile to my face… pardon the retard crazy owner egging her on in the video, it is what I do and I have little shame. Heck I will do it with client dogs too to encourage these moments. Some stop and look at me like I am crazy, probably because they never had anyone encourage this behavior but eventually they catch on and carry on. This is a mild wild hare as well, she has gone for what seems like 10 minutes sometimes all by herself, even better if anyone is bothering to try and chase her. She probably hates living with such unenergetic/lazy dogs lol. I sure do as they do not help her wear out. But oh well, such is life I don’t see us getting a puppy for Luna anytime soon.
Here is another cute video I simply had to share… these two are currently staying with us in the kennel, and I just love how friendly they are.

NOTE: I have tried to embed these videos like 10 times now about 4 different ways and it is still not working. Anyone have any ideas??? Sorry
Last embedded one worked 🙂 Love the videos
I have no idea why that last one works but the others are not. Same format and everything, frustrating as all get out. Glad you liked them though thanks for checking them out.
She is a speed demon alright! I so wish I could let Meadow run free, she’s super fast too, and would love if she had more room to stretch her legs….
Wyatt was like, I’ll just stay here and sniff, and you burn off enough energy for both of us. Typical Labbie! 🙂
Luna sure is fast. I liked the first video where she was jumping like a frog. 🙂
An easy way to embed videos on wordpress. On the youtube page of the video you want to embed, click “share” and under options, pick long link and copy it. Then go to the add media icon on the add new post page on WordPress. Click “From URL” and the little circle for “Audio, video, or other file”. Insert the link you copied in the URL box, (I leave the title blank, but you could add one). Then click insert into post. Now preview your post. If it worked, then it should show up on the preview.
I think the first two, the links were from your channel, but go to the actual page of the video to get the link. You would think it would take less steps, but it doesn’t. 🙂
You say four years old like that is super old or something. Shiva is just about that age (we think) and her energy levels are the same as when she was one. I don’t know if she’ll ever be too old for zoomies. I guess that’s not really a bad thing.
I love watching Viszlas, there is something so elegant about them. The one we practice with, Lulu, looks so similar to Luna and is just as speedy. Her jumps are simply breathtaking and I am sure Luna’s would be much the same. Thanks for sharing the videos!
Wow, this is the first time I’ve seen a dog bigger than Miss Maple do zoomies. Luna sure can go the distance! I was wondering how much further she would tread before turning back (lol). Maple has her fit with zoomies after each and every bath session. She’ll sprint down the hallway, then run laps around the coffee table. And this is often after a long day at the dog park. I honestly don’t know where these reserves of energy come from!
hey, did you ever happen to get my response on my blog about how to embed videos?
I think I did, but am going to go try and find it again… since i have another video to embed.
no need to hunt it down! when you post a video to youtube, you can get the embed code for it when you click on the “Share” link/button. then you have to place the code in the HTML editor in your blog (not the regular editor where you just type whatever and format things). does that help?
