Luna and I had a little fun with the latest LPTG Theme… the challenge was to include a paper airplane into a shot. When I spotted the Nasa paper I was to use for a plane I knew I had to include Luna, you know with her name being “Luna” and all. I also had a feeling we would be including some of her tricks to carry out these photos. Anyway I will let them speak for themselves.
These first two shots required the use of her “hold” command/trick. As you can see she is not too in love with this trick, but it is a vital part of her bird dog training so I try and work her on it often. Working with her “hold” involving random objects seems to make her like it more, but in the field she simply wants to get back to hunting. But that is another topic for another day. I love her attitude in the shot on the right, so Luna.
Bet you can guess what trick we used here. I tried to get it to balance on her nose but 1. it would not balance and 2. it would obstruct her face too much so I gave up before she lost patience with me. So we opted for balancing it on her head, much easier for all. I really need to work on a “pause” trick with her, basically teach her to “freeze” in whatever position she is in. It would be very handy for pictures.
And a black & white for kicks
Have you and your 4-leggers been working on any new tricks? This is a goal for Luna and I this year, it’s always fun to have new party tricks (if I ever went/threw parties). Also a good thing to do when it is hot as blazes out and nobody including the dogs want to be outside.
Cute!! It’s always good to have a solid rapport with your subject! Thanks for sharing ~
Great! It’s always important to have a strong rapport with your subject! Thanks for posting! Very cute pictures 🙂
I absolutely love the pics! They are so cute and make me giggle 🙂 I think my favorite is the black and white. I’m such a sucker for black and white pics!
Hey thanks, she is a trip for sure. I like BW too, but it is so hard to get a good one of her in BW. I need to really do some work on figuring out how I bring out her beauty in BW. Thanks for stopping by
Great pictures! Love the theme and what a gorgeous dog!
Thanks, it was a fun theme. Anytime I have an excuse for a prop I am all for it, glad Luna humored me this time too.
Hi Y’all,
What expression she has on her face! Such a beautiful girl.
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
The “hold” pictures are my favorites! How does Luna really feel about it?!?! You have such a wonderful subject for these photo challenges.
That first set of pictures, the one to the left is just THE BEST. I almost know what she is thinking. Brilliant!
And you are welcome regarding my ecollar comments; however, I seemed to have ruffled feathers, so I will be steering clear. 😉
I really wish she could talk sometimes so she could tell me what she was thinking. I love when I luck out and capture a new look. You probably are used to that look with your pups.
It always seems to ruffle feathers… Maybe I will just start letting the tool speak for itself and stop trying to educate people, never seems to do any good.
These are so cute!
What beautiful photography! Pretty Vizsla girl too. We’ve most recently been trying to learn “wipe your paws” at the door.
Thank you, helps to have a pretty subject. I have thought about the wipe your paws one, would be a cute trick… I know she would never do it on her own which would be far too nice of a thing for her to do lol. She likes to work when it’s work time but hardly ever offers outside of that time. Good luck with your trick though.
Aww…great pics…Luna is a little sweety 🙂
Luna you are a good sport!! Becky for one would love to eat and rip up that plane!!
You asked me what lens I used on my recent dog show post. It was the 85 prime on a cropped body canon. I had to get closer the dogs but that lens is great in the typical aweful indoor. It’s my newest lens and I really love it.
