Still hot as _____ here…. what is the weather like where you are?
Some of you may have followed the photo project I am part of this year, over at Lens Pro To Go’s Flickr page. If you have not checked the gallery out, head on over there and look at other people’s takes on these weekly themes.
Speaking of themes… the latest one was “Water.” So what better place to try and create this shot but at my friend’s pool! Especially due to all the heat we have had. This was the first time Wyatt has been to a pool, needless to say he was in love.
Luna as per usual was unimpressed and thinking of other things.
She thought a float might provide a better vantage point for bug watching
Okay, I admit I put her up there… but I don’t think she minds much at all.
And while Luna was scouting for bugs… Wyatt was racing with Molly
I love this photo of them… especially since I was shooting blind (forgot my mask) so fun. I may have to think on my friend’s idea of maybe getting into doing more pool photography.
I took advantage of the shallow area to try and see if Wyatt would dive for his ball
No such luck…. but I love the shots that resulted in these efforts. I think if I put down the camera and work on it a bit more he might go for it. He loves to retrieve, and LOVES the water.
Can you tell?? My friend got a kick out of the fact that he retrieved both the duck AND the bumper, she underestimates our Wyatt.
And just when you were probably thinking Luna just sat around, we did get her swimming too. And she fetched the duck a couple times for Molly too. PS. I love this last shot, flaws and all.

Now I really wish my dog would swim, just so I could have an excuse for an underwater camera. These are just so awesome!
Wow, how fun! I love the last one too, the color of the water is really nice and her outstretched swimming toes. The one of non-diving Wyatt cracked me up, the ball is falling, falling and his feet are just hanging there. I need a waterproof camera!
ps, it is hotter than____ here too.
They are a fun camera to have when you have water loving pups… and I just love water anyhow so it makes sense to bring one with me kayaking and fishing. No worry about my “nice” camera getting ruined.
Oh My! Those underwater shots are great! As for heat…. I just spent the day on the beach in 98 degree heat because I had the desire to photograph a sand castle building contest – not one of my most brilliant ideas!
lol, won’t be going back next year huh? Beach can be a bit better at 98 degrees but not much if you are staying dry lol.

I love all these shots…and I was wondering if you put Luna up on the float. She looks regal sitting up there, surveying her ocean. My dogs are jealous – all they get is a crappy kiddie pool. 🙂
