Luna’s first spring was full of adventure.. Due to the fact that I was home for the first month or two, we were able to spend lots of time exploring the outdoors together. She seemed to love every minute of it. Things like hiking, swimming, wildflower stomping, log fetching, turtle hunting, bug chasing, boat rides, and fishing were things we did as much as possible. Honestly, I wish I was in a position to go back to being able to do those things on such a regular basis. Anyway, she had many adventures, here are a few photos to document..
Exploring the flooded lake…
She seems to love the challenge of big, awkward sticks/logs. Even to this day, she is more likely to go in and retrieve a log nearly as big around as her head and as long as her body, that makes a big splash, than a normal sized stick…
This was her first turtle.. she didn’t quite know what to make of it, but eventually settled on wanting to play with it.. Needless to say it wasn’t as thrilled as she. Since then she has found about 3 others.. My theory on why she seems to find so many is that she is able to track them, and since they are so slow, she is able to find them at the end..
She went on her first canoe ride that spring.. she seemed to really like it. this the picture above you can see her checking out the drips from the paddle.. now imagine that with each stroke she is going from one side of the canoe to the other following the paddles.. good thing her first ride was when she was smaller.. makes for a slightly less tippy experience. All in all she enjoyed it.. she did not seem to enjoy the leak in the bottom though….
And you thought a vizsla puppy jumping from side to side was tricky.. Try fishing/paddling with a vizsla puppy in your lap..
Though there was much adventure.. there was also many naps on mom’s bed…
Which is exactly what I’m going to go do now.. off to bed we go..
Hope you’ve enjoyed. More to come as always.
